Today, I'm going to walk through how to install the Draw-Tite Class One Trailer Hitch Receiver on your 2019 Hyundai Elantra.Adding a hitch to your Elantra is going to allow a few different things. One, you can put a bike rack on the back. We're not going to have to take our bikes and try to load them inside the car or take the bike racks and try to put them. Or take the bikes and try to put them up on top of the car, lift them up on top of the roof. You can also put a cargo carrier on it, move some of those items from inside to the outside to make more room for our passengers.As you can see, our crossover hitch is hidden behind our fascia. more

You see the cross-tube is visible, but it fits nicely with the contour of the vehicle, so it's not too overbearing. This is going to be a class one hitch. It's going to be an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter. Your hitch pinhole is going to be half inch in diameter. You're going to have rolled steel style safety chain rings, so it's going to give you plenty of room for different size safety chain hooks. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for our 2017 Hyundai Elantra. So here are or best hitch options. On the top here we're going to have the Curt, part number C11424. Right here we have our Draw-Tite, part number 24939. Both these hitches have a 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver opening, and you can see on the Curt here it has a nice rolled finished look around the edge. Whereas the Draw-Tite is just a nice clean flush look. Now both hitches are going to use a 1/2" standard pin and clip. more

Today on our 2017 Hyundai Elantra, we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw Tite Sport Frame Class 1 Trailer Hitch receiver. Part number 24939. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. One thing I really like about this hitch is how hidden it is underneath our vehicle. The only spot that we see the hitch actually installed is the class one inch and a quarter receiver itself hanging down below. Everything else is hidden underneath the plastic of our fascia and our side appearance panel over on the driver's side. This hitch features a 200 pound max tongue weight rating and a 2,000 pound max gross trailer weight rating. more

As you can see it's nice and tucked up underneath our bumper cover. The only part really hanging is little bit of the frame of the hitch here and the class 1 inch and a quarter receiver. As you can see we have these nice, easy to use safety chain loops here, that you can easily clip into. They're not too close to our bumper cover either. more

You can see this nice round tubular design. It fits up faily close to the bottom side of our rear fascia. It's got some nice safety chain loops that's going to accommodate most of your safety chains. This is going to be our Class I hitch, so it's going to have a 1/2 inch hitch pin hole. more

Today, on our 2015 Hyundai Elantra, we're going to review and install the Curt Class 1 One and a Quarter Inch Receiver Tube Hitch, part number C11303. Here are a few tools that'll be necessary for installing the hitch. You need at least a Phillip's screwdriver, and maybe a flat head screwdriver, ten millimeter socket, a couple of drill bits, and a file bit along with the drill. Either a utility knife or a dremel. Then, you can either use a standard ratchet or a large inaudible 00:00:37 along with your torque wrench and a three quarter inch socket. An extension may be necessary. more

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is six inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 10 and a quarter inches. Next we'll go ahead and give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 10 inches and from the center of the hitch pin hole to your outside edge of your bumper will be about 6 inches. Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. The first thing we're going to do is show the attachment points on the frame. They are located on the side of the frame and there's two threaded holes and this will be the same on both sides of the vehicle. Our first step, we'll go ahead and clean out the threads. more

Today on this 2008 Hyundai Elantra were going to install part number 24795 from Draw-Tite. This is what the hitch looks like when its installed on the vehicle. Next well go ahead and give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier, from the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about ten inches, from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper will be about six inches. Now well go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed.First thing were going to do is show the attachment points on the frame, they are located on the side of the frame and there are two threaded holes, this will be the same on both sides of the vehicle. Our first step well go ahead and clean out the threads, well take some spray lubricant and a tube brush and well go ahead and clean out the threads, part number for our tube brush is 814092. Then well go ahead and test fit it with a bolt, if it threads in okay well go on to the next one. more

Today we are going to install part number 24703 from Draw-Tite, and we are going to install this hitch on a 2006 Hyundai Elantra. All right, looking on the bottom of the vehicle, looking up on the passengers side, you will see the bolt that is in the frame the hitch will attach at that point right there. This hitch does not come with new bolts to replace the existing factory bolts. It will be just like that on the passengers side and on the drivers side. We are also going to use the center tow loop on the trunk pan here, too. We will use that for an attachment point. more
